Faith in Our Future Update #7 - New Education & Activity Center Will Be for Entire Parish
“I am not going to give to the Faith in Our Future because my children do not attend the day school.” “When will I ever be in that building?”
The hope of the parish is that this be a true education and activity center for the entire parish. True, the building will be used primarily during the day for the purpose of educating the youth of the parish. But it is also true that the building will be used nights and weekends to educate the youth of the parish. In addition, with more space and a building that is handicap accessible, the building will also be used in the evening for education of adults. We foresee computer classes in a modern computer lab, more adult faith formation classes, more gym time for the numerous high school CYM teams, a place for our seniors to walk (Shopko and Costco are not ideal), perhaps a place to socialize, and to meet. Can you envision the day when after weekday Mass, parishioners head over to the Education & Activity Center to walk and then share a cup of coffee? Can you see a place for religious materials that can be checked out or a place for pamphlets to be disseminated?
We are quite simply out of room. We do not have the space for any of the above.
We are 75 percent of the way to our goal. Please consider a gift to the Faith in Our Future Campaign. It will be put to good use.
Kelly Swietlik, Co-Principal, SFB School

Divine Mercy Prayer Group Meets at New Time - Still on Fridays -- but now at 1 p.m.
Please be aware that starting Friday, March 19, the Divine Mercy Prayer Group will be meeting from 1:00-2:00 p.m. in front of the tabernacle at the St Francis Borgia North Church. We will not be meeting on April 2, Good Friday. We hope that the time change might be more accommodating for whomever is interested in joining this prayer group. We pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet, followed by a Rosary for Life and all are welcome.
Faith In Our Future Update #6 - Pledges still accepted; 80% remains in parish
This message is from Andy Schlidt and Scott Hill, co-chairs, Fr. Dan Janasik and Fr. Tom Eichenberger
We are still accepting pledges to Faith In Our Future. Because we reached our archdiocesan goal of $1.5 million, we now keep 80% of all funds raised, and share 20% with the FIOF Trust. This is a great incentive to make a gift NOW!
Some have asked why we cannot keep 100% of the monies we raise. “Keep it all! It was ours to begin with.” But doesn’t that sound just a little selfish? The funds we share with the archdiocese are not “lost” to us because they do not go to our building project. They build up the church in our archdiocese. This was Archbishop Dolan’s original intent. In fact, without the archdiocese, we could not exist. We are Catholics, not Congregationalists. We are a worldwide family of faith, and we willingly accept our ties to the wider church.
So as parish leaders, we want you to know that we actively support and affirm the portion of our funds, now only 20%, that goes to the FIOF Trust for use throughout the archdiocese.
As we mentioned last week, we are now 75% on the way towards our goal of reaching $8 million dollars. This is something to be announced, shouted, rejoiced over, and celebrated. The 75% is not in cash in hand, but a combination of cash, pledges, and sale of land.
We still need $2+ million. We won’t say only $2 million, because $2 million is a very large amount. Just recently Archbishop Listecki indicated a strong interest in helping us achieve this goal. He will be sending a letter in the mail and coming to Cedarburg in spring to rejuvenate our campaign for the last $2 million.
So keep up the prayers and conversation, and send us your ideas. If you would like to make a gift, but need special consideration, we would be happy to work with you.

Smaller quantities of food may be taken at two other meals but no food should be consumed at any other time during those two days. The obligation of fasting ceases with the celebration of one’s 59th birthday.
