Parish Life
Parish Life Overview
A sense of community is important to any parish. To enrich the lives of parishioners, we provide periodic social activities and opportunities for fellowship where individual members, families and extended families of parishioners can gather and interact.
Bereavement Ministry
Volunteers are needed to support members of our parish who have recently experienced the loss of a loved one. A variety of services and time commitments is needed from volunteers and can include phone calls, visits, sending cards and letters and more. For more details and contact information, see the Bereavement Ministry Team Volunteer Flyer.
Cub Scouts
Scouting programs provide opportunities for character development, citizenship, friendship, community service, outdoor skills and fun activities. For more details and contact information, see the Cub Scout Pack 3802 Volunteer Flyer.
Fish Frys
Fish frys are traditionally held on one or more Fridays in Lent . During Lent, you can watch the bulletin, look at the upcoming events on the home page, or check the calendar for upcoming fish fry dates.
First Friday Club
This group shares food and fellowship after the 8 a.m. Mass on the first Friday of most months during the school year. On those Fridays, Mass is held at the north church and the First Friday Club hosts a light breakfast of coffee, rolls and sweets in the church hall. Help is needed to prepare food and refreshments for all who attend. Parishioners of all ages are welcome to join us. This is a good opportunity to meet parishioners and to socialize. For details and contact information, see the First Friday Club Volunteer Flyer. Check the calendar or contact the parish office for the date of the next First Friday Club meeting.
Friends for Christian Athletes
The mission of the Friends for Christian Athletes is to promote and enhance athletic programs and opportunities for all ages within the St. Francis Borgia community. We meet approximately four times a year.
Funeral Meals Ministry
Our mission is to assist grieving families by arranging the funeral dinners held in the SFB-North Church Hall. The time commitment varies according to the number of funerals in a given time period. Daytime availability is generally needed for the meal itself, although occasionally the funeral and the meal are held in the evening. A flexible schedule is needed as most requests are on short notice. For details and contact information, see the Funeral Meals Ministry Volunteer Flyer.
Hospitality Sunday
Hospitality Sundays provide an opportunity for food and fellowship (usually donuts and coffee) after the 9 and 11 a.m. Sunday morning Masses on designated Sundays during the school year. They are held on the last Sunday of most months, and are hosted by various parish organizations. Watch the bulletin or check the calendar for the next Hospitality Sunday date. For more information, contact the parish office.
Knights of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus is an International Catholic organization dedicated to the ideals of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism. The local chapter includes both the Cedarburg and Grafton parishes and communities, and supports or sponsors several annual projects. Meetings are not mandatory and are held on the second Monday of each month. Members are asked to volunteer for at least one project yearly, or at least 5 hours annually. For details and contact information, see the Knights of Columbus Volunteer Flyer.
Mom's Group
This group will provide mothers of pre-school age children opportunities for fellowship and faith sharing. The group is in need of both core team and group members. For details and contact information, see the Mom's Group Volunteer Flyer.
