Additional Information
Eucharistic Ministers assist in the distribution
of Holy Communion.
To serve in this ministry, you must have received
the sacrament of Confirmation.

parishioners choose to be eucharistic ministers.
Training will be provided at a time convenient
to all parties.
Eucharistic ministers are asked to make a commitment
to continuing Christian formation. The archdiocese requires eucharistic
ministers to attend annual
formation sessions or activities each year. Formation requirements can
be met by:
• Attending two formation sessions or activities each year; or
• Attending one formation session or activity that is three or more hours
long.
Note that:
• Eucharistic minister training sessions qualify as a formation session.
•
Major Eucharistic or Liturgy formation time commitments can be counted
as two years’ formation.
• Formation activities near the end of one year can be counted toward either
that year or the next.
Eucharistic ministers are asked for a commitment
of just one weekend Mass per month. However, volunteers for more frequent
scheduling are
very much appreciated.
For more information, contact the
Eucharistic Minister
Coordinator.
