Holy Orders (Priesthood/Diaconate), Religious
Life & Lay Ministry
The Christian community always has need of those willing to commit themselves
to ministry in the Church. All parishioners have the responsibility
to pray for and encourage vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, lay
ministries and religious life. See the newsletter article: Vocations
- Who’s Responsible? (Lent 2003)
Single men of all ages who are interested in exploring priestly ministry
in the Church should contact the pastor. After discussion, the pastor
will arrange for contact with the Archdiocesan Vocations Director.
Or see www.thinkpriest.org.
Married and single men interested in becoming a deacon should contact
the pastor or deacon. After discussion, the pastor or deacon will arrange
for contact with the Archdiocesan Director of the Permanent Diaconate.
Men and women interested in entering religious life should contact the
pastor for additional information.
Men and women interested in pursuing lay ministry in the church should
contact the pastor or the parish office. The parish can provide information
on the various Archdiocesan training programs available in the areas
of Christian education, youth ministry, and Christian administration
and management.
For more information about church vocations, contact the Archdiocesan
Vocations Office at 414-747-6437.
