Additional Information
The sacristan and assistants do weekly light cleaning in the churches, order
supplies used in the sacristy, care for liturgical garments, and clean candle
holders and other liturgical articles. (Also see information on church

linens.)
Those involved in this ministry should have:
- Reverence for the environment in which their work is
performed
- Reliability and commitment in performing their duties
- Interest in contributing time and effort to enhance
worship experience
On the job training is provided, with attention to detail. Training includes
an explanation of liturgical cycles and associated relationships to worship.
Approximately 2-4 hours per week, depending on time of year. Time involvement
is higher during Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter seasons.
