Giving Financial Support
Ongoing Financial Support
- pledge cards, envelopes, electronic funds transfer
Special Offerings
Ongoing Financial Support
Each year, parishioners are asked to fill out a pledge
card stating their
commitment of financial support for St. Francis Borgia. Parishioners
receive quarterly reports of their individual contributions.
Offerings may be made through contribution envelopes,
which are mailed to parishioners’ homes monthly.
Electronic funds
transfer (EFT) is also an option. This latter alternative provides
time and cost savings to the parish, and revenue predictability which
is important to expense management. To arrange for electronic funds
transfer, complete the Authorization
Agreement for Automatic Withdrawal of Funds, then send it to
the St.
Francis Borgia Parish Office with the necessary supporting documentation.
Click here for the 2008 pledge form, which includes an
EFT form.
Parish members who may have difficulty meeting minimal pledge requirements
as suggested by the Finance/Administrative Committee can contact our
pastor for advice on how they can meet some of these financial commitments
through community service to the parish.
Any questions about pledges, contributions, envelopes,
or electronic funds transfer should be directed to the parish
business office.

Special Offerings
Parishioners are encouraged to provide additional financial support to
the parish, school, and wider community through various appeals as
described below.
Endowment
The St. Francis Borgia Endowment was established in 2000 to help provide for the long-term financial needs of the parish and school. The Endowment includes a Parish Fund and a School Fund. Contributions to these funds are invested responsibly by a board of advisors appointed by the pastor. Only the interest earned from these investments may be allocated to the needs of the parish and school. Tax-deductible gifts to the Endowment are accepted throughout the year and may be designated to the Parish Fund, the School Fund, or distributed equally to both. Brochures and contribution envelopes are available in the reading rack in the gathering area of the church, or contact the Stewardship and Development Office at 377-1070, ext. 229 or send an e-mail.

School Annual Fund
Each year the School Annual Fund helps to finance the areas of St. Francis
Borgia School that have the greatest need for the students and faculty.
Tax-deductible Annual Fund donations support St. Francis Borgia School
above and beyond tuition and the parish subsidy. For additional information,
see the St. Francis
Borgia School Website (Giving Opportunities),
or contact the Office of Stewardship
and Development at 262-377-1070, ext. 229.

Special
Donation Opportunities (Gifts for the Parish)
We ask you to consider your parish in your gift giving. There are many
gifts - small and large - that our parish would be very grateful to
receive. Needs can be fulfilled by gifts of time, talent, materials,
dollars or a combination of these resources. These needs can be fulfilled
by individuals, families, groups or organizations. Often people are
able to offer their resources toward a project. Do you have resources
through your business, your skills or contacts that could assist in
bringing results toward these projects with little cost to the parish?
We are happy and anxious to publicly recognize contributions to these
efforts. We also respect the wishes of those who prefer to remain anonymous.
Contact the parish Office
of Stewardship and Development to discuss
how you might be able to help.

Special Purpose Offerings (Ongoing Special Appeals)
The monthly packet of contribution envelopes includes not only the regular
weekly envelopes but also some special purpose envelopes for ongoing
financial appeals. This includes opportunities to provide financial
assistance for such purposes as:
St. Vincent de Paul Society
The Cedarburg conference of the St. Vincent de Paul Society depends on
St. Francis Borgia Parish for membership and financial support. The group
offers temporary assistance based on referrals from local pastors, other
agencies and individuals, with an aim toward helping clients become self-sufficient.
There is a monthly opportunity for parishioners to contribute to the
St. Vincent de Paul Society at church, usually on the third weekend of
the month.

Uganda Sister Parish
St. Francis Borgia Parish has established ties with St. Paul the Apostle
Parish in Mukono, Uganda. The Uganda committee is building parish social, cultural and spiritual ties with St. Paul, including pen pal relationships, photo exchanges, and other ongoing activities. St. Paul’s parish has many pressing needs, as there are 26,000 Catholics, including 17,000 children in the parish, which covers some 135 square miles. The opportunity to donate toward our Uganda sister parish is offered every other month at church, usually on the first weekend of that month.

Catholic Stewardship Appeal
Over 700,000 Catholics in more than 200 parishes benefit from the Catholic
Stewardship Appeal for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. This annual appeal
begins in February each year. Contributions all stay within the Milwaukee
Archdiocese and are used to provide parish services, ministerial formation,
social outreach, education and family training, clergy services and
communication & development. More information is available on the
Milwaukee Archdiocese site at http://www.catholicappeal.org/main.html.

Archdiocesan Combined Collections (Fall and Spring)
Each spring and fall, the Milwaukee Archdiocese asks for our financial
support for various organizations and charities supported by the Catholic church. Usually, four or five separate appeals are included in each of the
two “combined collections.” Combining the collections results
in lower administrative costs, and fewer requests for support beyond
the parish level.
