Offering Time and Talent
Time and Talent Survey
Learning About Volunteer Opportunities
Suggesting New Activities
Assisting With Special Donation Opportunities
The Time and Talent Survey
affords an opportunity to formally designate areas of personal interest
for
parish involvement.
The survey
is provided to all new parishioners and is offered periodically to
the full parish. The Time
and Talent Survey is also available online. Simply print it, complete
it, and turn it in to the parish office.
The weekly parish
bulletin and the Volunteer
Opportunities page of this website provide current adult and
youth volunteer opportunities in the parish. Another way to identify
volunteer opportunities is to
check the parish News
Headlines or simply browse through the website. For example, there are opportunities
to participate
in the many liturgical
ministries; to
teach in the religious education program;
or to serve on
a committee for
the annual parish
festival. Help is always welcome whether you
prefer working with children or youth-related programs or are more
comfortable
ministering to the elderly and homebound. Some people prefer helping
with setup and cleanup for church activities, while others bring
cookies and pastry for a bake sale. Be sure to check the Ministries/Organizations category
of this website for information and contact persons for the various
groups.
The parish council is open to ideas for
additional programs and services. If you see a need and would like
to help
fill that need,
contact any parish council
member or the parish
office.
The Parish
Office of Stewardship and Development has a
list of special
donation opportunities -- very specific needs of
the parish. For some of these, a
donation of your skills or talents could
help to lower the costs.
