Bishop Sklba’s Visit to St. Francis Borgia
May 17-19, 2008From Saturday, May 17 through Monday, May 19, Bishop Richard J. Sklba was with us at the parish for a formal, three-day pastoral visit. He has, of course, been here many, many times before, but never for a whole weekend. Our parish was chosen for this visit because we are the oldest parish in continuous existence (since 1844) in Ozaukee County. During his vist, Bishop Sklba celebrated Mass with us, attended receptions and joined us for meals, met with catechists, school teachers, the human concerns and Uganda twinning committees, parish council, mission trip participants, weekday Mass participants, and school children. We thank him for his time, his preaching, his concern, and his pastoral care. Click to view gallery.
