- St. Francis Borgia Parish Cemetery, 7963 Pioneer Rd., Mequon
(This is about one-quarter mile west of the intersection of Wauwatosa and Pioneer Roads.)
Please join us on the National Day of Remembrance for the Unborn for a solemn gathering as we commemorate the more than 60 million children lost to legal abortion since Roe v Wade in 1973.
In addition, thanks to the generosity of our parish members and the Knights of Columbus, we will be dedicating the newly installed Infants’ Memorial at our parish cemetery. Recent research using ground-penetrating radar at the St. Francis Borgia cemetery has uncovered 197 unmarked graves, including 46 graves of stillborn and very young infants, born to poor parents unable to afford proper burial. Join us as we honor these unknown and forgotten souls.
The service and dedication will be led by Fr. Patrick Burns on Saturday, Sept. 14, at 11 a.m. at the parish cemetery on Pioneer Road.
The Knights of Columbus and the Respect Life Committee are sponsoring this event.
