Message from Fr. Patrick:
In 2000, Pope St. John Paul II proclaimed the Second Sunday of Easter as “Divine Mercy Sunday.” This is a day – April 19 this year – when we are reminded of the boundless mercy of God.
In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 the Archbishop has asked that parishes do not have parking lot Masses, due to the contact that comes from Holy Communion. In light of this and Governor Evers’ recent allowance of church services in parking lots, instead of Mass in the parking lot, we are going to offer Eucharistic Adoration to those parked in the school parking lot.
It will take place Sunday, April 19 beginning at 2:30 p.m. and ending with the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3 p.m., immediately followed by Benediction. Please join us in prayer.
Adoration will happen from the second story windows of the school atrium. This will allow us to pray together in front of the Eucharist while avoiding any person-to-person contact. I welcome people to join us in prayer! I would encourage you to park your car so that it faces the school in order for you to see the Eucharist from your parking spot.
Anyone who wishes to attend must following these guidelines:
- You MUST sign up online ahead of time. If you are not signed up, you should not attend. We need to limit the number of cars. Sign up here.
- Everyone MUST remain in their cars at all times. Parents, please be mindful of this with your children.
- If car windows are opened, they should only be cracked open in order to prevent exposure to people in other cars.
- Out of respect for the Eucharist, everyone is asked to refrain from taking photos or video. This is an opportunity for prayer, so please help preserve that environment of prayer.
