Join us on Good Friday, April 2, for the Service of the Lord’s Passion  at 3 p.m. at the North Church. Today’s collection is for the upkeep of the shrines in the Holy Land. The service is a continuation of the Paschal Triduum. On Good Friday, Catholics commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Congregants participate in the Veneration of the Cross as they approach a cross or crucifix one by one, and offer a gesture of respect to all that it represents.

Good Friday is a day of fast and abstinence. Fasting means one full meal, two smaller meals, and nothing in between meals. Abstinence means no meat. For more information, see this News posting.

On Good Friday:

  • There will be no morning Mass, no morning confessions and no Eucharistic Adoration.
  • The parish office will be closed.

Note: We are unable to provide live streaming for the Triduum liturgies (except Easter Sunday) here at St. Francis Borgia. If you are unable to attend in person, here are suggestions of where you can view Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Vigil services:
