Looking to get outside? Cemetery spring cleanup

Event details

  • Saturday | April 11, 2020
  • 9:00 am
  • 7963 Pioneer Rd, Cedarburg

Due to last year’s early winter (remember 7 inches of snow on Halloween?), the St. Francis Borgia Cemetery never got a proper fall cleanup. That makes this spring’s cleanup more work than usual.

On Saturday, Apr. 11 at 9 a.m., we will be having this year’s spring cleanup (observing social distancing). Rakes and wheel barrows are needed and donuts and beverages will be provided (bring your own coffee). Anyone who is able to help is welcome! Many hands make short work. This is also a great way for students to earn service hours!

If you are interested in helping out or would like more information, please click to e-mail the Cemetery Coordinator.

Cemetery decorations
Fall, winter or Christmas decorations will be removed from the cemetery on that day. If you have any decorations that you would like to keep, please remove them prior to Apr. 11 or they will be discarded.

Volunteer to cut and trim grass
We are in need of a few more volunteers to help out with the cutting and trimming grass this year. The time commitment is 4-6 hours, once or twice per month of the growing season. Training is provided. The schedule is flexible and no experience is necessary. This is a very rewarding ministry – as witnessed by the fact that all nine of the volunteers from last year are returning again!

Thank you very much for your help!
