Navigating the World of Alcohol and Drug Treatment

Everyone is invited to join our Substance Addiction Ministry (SAM) on Thursday, Mar. 14 at 7 p.m. to hear Dawn Ritter, LPC, CSAC, share information about treatment options for those battling addictions.

The gathering will be at 7 p.m. in the St. Francis Borgia North church hall.

Topics covered will include: Who needs AODA (Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse) treatment? How does a person begin the treatment process? What are some of the different types/levels of treatment? What about groups like AA?

Dawn Ritter has led the AODA Intensive Outpatient Program at Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s since 2007. Prior to that she worked in Washington County providing AODA services to people involved in the legal system. Dawn is a 2002 graduate of the Educational Psychology Masters Degree program at UWM. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, as well as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor.

The SAM Prayer Support Group will gather in church before the presentation from 6:15-6:45 p.m. Everyone is invited to join them to pray for those affected and or afflicted by substance addiction.
