“The Changing Face of Parish Life in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee” – in Milwaukee

On Sunday, Mar.10, you are invited to a 9 a.m. Mass, followed by a presentation by Fr. Steven Avella titled, “The Changing Face of Parish Life in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee” at 10:30 a.m. in Heck Hall. Coffee and continental breakfast will be provided. This free event is sponsored by St. Therese Parish, 9525 W Bluemound Rd. in Milwaukee. All are welcome!

Fr. Steve, a local church historian, priest of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and a professor of history at Marquette University, will discuss the history of parishes in the archdiocese that were founded for a variety of reasons: population centers, ethnicity, race, and the efforts of religious communities, Milwaukee’s Catholic parishes reflect the diversity of Catholic life over the years. The history of St. Therese Parish, as a ministry of the Pallottines, will also be included.
