On Saturday, June 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon, the School Sisters of St. Francis will be welcoming teens and adults to the workshop, “The Sacred Monogram of Jesus.” (Convenient free parking is available in the St. Joseph Center lot at 29th St. and Orchard St.)

Professional artist and iconographer Christine Jentz of Lumen Christi Art in Brookfield will present on the history of iconography and specifically on Jesus’ monogram (IHS), while guiding participants in creating sacred art as contemplative work. Participants will be tracing and “gold-filling” Ms. Jentz’s illustration of a filigreed monogram by using a gold pigment pen on vellum paper.
