Mission Trips

As Catholics we are called to strive for justice in all our encounters.  One of the biggest injustices in our world is poverty – physical, spiritual and financial.  Each year the youth of our parish are offered opportunities to combat poverty through service, relationship and formation on our Youth Mission Trips.  While on these trips our young people are challenged to reflect on how they can make an impact on the world around them – how they can make the world a better place for their neighbors.  They are offered the time and space to listen to each other, serve one another and love without prejudice.  We can’t wait to serve with you!

Love Begins Here – Middle School Mission Trip

Love Begins Here is an Archdiocese of Milwaukee program that helps our middle school teens encounter Christ through a week of local service lived in a joyful, Catholic community. Inspired by the life and witness of St. Teresa of Calcutta, LBH invites teens to serve those in need in their homes and communities, thus continuing Christ’s work on earth. Help out at a food pantry, paint a fence, or plant a garden in the day. Follow that up with ice cream, swimming, prayer and a ton of fun while making friends with teens from all over the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.

“Love begins at home and it is not how much we do but how much love we put into that action.” – St. Teresa of Calcutta

High School Summer Mission Trip

Every year our high school students are challenged to leave the comforts of home behind and embark on a journey filled with prayer, service and relationship! Our destinations vary each year but our mission always stays the same – to spread the Gospel of Jesus through love and service! As much as our destination varies so does the work that God calls us to do – food pantries, nursing homes, community centers, fixing homes for neighbors in need, homeless shelters have all been a part of our daily experiences while on mission trip. Our journey does not only consist of work, we also spend time laughing, praying, playing and building relationships with each other and the community in which we are serving.

“The saints are not supermen, nor were they born perfect. When they recognized God’s love they followed it and served others.” – Pope Francis
