The SFB Bereavement Ministry seeks to bring Christ to those who grieve through prayer, compassion, active listening and exploring strategies to cope with profound and overwhelming loss.
In 2017, bereavement sessions were held in both spring and fall. Many relevant topics were discussed, including understanding the stages of grief, self-care and health concerns of those who grieve, surviving stress and loneliness, and remembering and celebrating loved ones.
In early November, the Bereavement Ministry held a gathering that focused on surviving the holidays.
Upcoming bereavement offerings will be announced in the bulletin. Please watch for those. All are warmly welcomed. Whether your loss is recent or a while ago, we can all support each other.
