All seniors are invited to Lasata Care Center on Friday, July 20 from 9 a.m. until 12 noon for their Annual Senior Health Fair. Lasata is located at W78N675 Wauwatosa Rd. in Cedarburg.
In addition to food, raffles, door prizes and tours, CarFit will be offered. CarFit is an educational program that offers older adults the opportunity to check how well their personal vehicles “fit” them. A proper fit in one’s personal vehicle can greatly increase not only the driver’s safety but also the safety of others.
A team of trained technicians and/or health professionals work with each participant to ensure they “fit” their vehicle properly for maximum comfort and safety. A CarFit check takes approximately 20 minutes to complete.
The program also provides information and materials on community-specific resources that could enhance the safety of seniors as drivers and/or increase their mobility in the community.
