Several members of our Uganda Twinning committee have seen the movie “ Queen of Katwe,” showing at The Rivoli in Cedarburg Nov. 11 through Nov. 17. They say it is authentic to the life style, language, scenery of that in Uganda.
“Queen of Katwe” is a biographical sports drama that depicts the life of Phiona Mutesi, a Ugandan girl living in a slum in Katwe who learns to play chess and becomes a Woman Candidate Master after her performances at the World Chess Olympiads.
The Twinning Committee is officially endorsing this movie to be true to the typical Ugandan life they have experienced on their visits. They highly encourage you to attend.
