St. Francis Borgia’s Uganda Twinning Committee extends its sincere thanks to all parishioners for helping support our friends at St. Paul the Apostle Parish in Mukono, Uganda during 2021. COVID made it a tough year for us all. In Uganda, strict rolling lockdowns barred people from churches, jobs, and schools. Inadequate supplies have kept vaccination rates very low.
Your assistance this year was so important. You have helped St. Paul build an irrigation system for a small farm, where its produce will feed parishioners. Also your generosity has fed high school teachers whose income was lost during school shutdowns, while enabling high school schooling to continue teaching students via the use of cell phones.
The need is great, but your support counts so much! Our brothers and sisters in Uganda are very grateful. The Uganda Twinning Committee is also grateful. Watch for an exciting parish event here next May, where you will have a chance to learn more about our twins and our relationship with them.
