In an April 10 email addressed to parishioners and friends of St. Francis Borgia Parish, Fr. Patrick gave the good news:
“With gratitude and relief, I announce to you that we closed on the sale of our former school property on Tuesday, April 10th. This is good news for the parish. The time leading up to this has had quite a bit of controversy, but my firm hope is that the new development will be an asset for the community at large.… Our communications team will keep you updated with specifics as they develop…. May God bless our parish and our community.”
In a postscript, he let us know “… (at the former rectory and school property) Habitat for Humanity is reclaiming items that can be used by its clients, and we are glad to see the SFB legacy live on by helping those in need.”
Fr. Patrick also noted that the sale included our parking lots, but that we will eventually have a new parking lot for parish use behind the South Church.
