Help the Homeless in Ozaukee County
When: Week of December 13
As of Nov. 1, Family Promise of Ozaukee County will open its doors to welcome its first guests. As part of a national program, Family Promise of Ozaukee County will help rebuild lives with compassion by providing shelter, food, and support resources for homeless families here in our county. Our parish will support Faith Lutheran Church of Cedarburg. As the “host” church, Faith will house the guests for one week at a time, about four times a year. SFB will “support” them by securing volunteers to do many tasks including providing meals and staying overnight at Faith. Faith will also provide volunteers. Faith and SFB will welcome guests for the first time on Dec.13. We need volunteers who would like to help that week and/or in the future. (Our next time to help Faith will be in March.) Information and volunteer sign up will be provided in the gathering space after Masses Oct. 10-11 and 17-18.
