It is time for Vacation Bible Camp…formerly known as VBS (Vacation Bible School). We hope the new name will help convey all of the fun that we have at VBC!
For those of you who are not sure what VBC is, here is a brief explanation. It is a week-long, fun-filled adventure in faith formation. The theme for our VBC this year is Roar! Life is wild – God is good. The Bible stories that we will be studying are from the Old Testament and we learn about them through different stations which include music, drama, crafts, snack, video and games.
Supplies are needed for each of these areas and VBC could really use your help in three different ways!
- First, in our gathering space, please find our Roar display. Look for the character tags containing an item or supply that we need for VBC. If you would be so kind and take a tag home, purchase that item and bring it back to the gathering space in church or the parish office, with the tag attached, that would really be so helpful.
- Second, VBC needs lots of volunteers! Adults, high schoolers and middle schoolers! Without adult volunteers to maintain our adult to child ratio, we would be unable to offer VBC. To volunteer please fill out the Volunteer Registration Form (see link below), in the Parish Office or by the Roar display in the Church gathering space.
- Third, but most important…please pray for the success and safety of our VBC. This is a wonderful faith and fun-filled week. We ask God’s blessings and we offer thanks for this opportunity to share our faith in a special way with our children and youth. Prayers for good weather would also be appreciated.
If you have questions, call Mrs. Mikkelson at 262-377-1070, ext. 243 or send an email.
Vacation Bible Camp will be held June 17-21. Visit the Vacation Bible Camp page for more information and registration forms for volunteers and participants.
