Vacation Bible Camp Wrap Up

At this year’s Vacation Bible Camp (VBC), “Roar,” we learned when life is wild, God is good. We were blessed to have 67 participants and over 50 faithful volunteers. We were also grateful for the many SFB parishioners who generously donated supplies in effort to help keep VBC affordable for our families. Thank you to everyone who participated or volunteered in any way to make VBC a success. VBC could not and would not take place without you! The VBC pictures on the cover of the bulletin show just some of the fun we had.

I would like to thank the volunteers who helped with the VBC set design and those on the setup crew. They transformed our church hall into an African Savannah, complete with a lion and 6-foot tall giraffe.

I would also like to thank the adults and youth who took charge of one of the stations at VBC. Participants were kept busy in Bible Adventures, Kid-Vid Cinema, Imagination Station and Stampede Sports. Campers were fed in the Hungry Herd Café and entertained all week by our wonderful emcees. Thank you also to the many youth and adult helpers who assisted with these stations.

I would also like to thank the adults who were the Expedition Leaders for our four groups.

And enormous gratitude goes out to Jim Esten (pictured above) who led our whole Vacation Bible Camp for a full week of faith-filled fun.

And a finally, a big, big thank you to our fantastic crew leaders and assistant crew leaders. We absolutely could not run VBC without you!

Additionally, I would like to thank the parish staff for helping us in so many ways and to our wonderful maintenance staff for setting up and cleaning up for us.

Can’t wait to see you all next year at Vacation Bible Camp!
