Volunteer for the Building and Grounds Committee

The Building and Grounds Committee is involved with the physical conditions of parish property (South Church, North Church and School), its maintenance and upkeep. The committee identifies and articulates the needs of the parish in this area and makes recommendations to the pastor and Finance Council as appropriate. Recently, this committee oversaw the North Church HVAC remodel in 2020, as well as a new camera system for the South Church. In 2021, there have been security upgrades for the school and north campus. These have included an Active Shooter Emergency Response System, card access for the parish office, and increasing the server size for the camera system and setting it up for future expansion. In addition, the North Church stairwell carpet was replaced and we have begun the removal of the dead ash trees on the property.

As we begin 2022, the committee will be actively involved in the capital projects related to the Love One Another Campaign as well as other projects outside the campaign. To assist in our efforts, we are looking to establish a couple of sub-committees. The first will be an Energy Subcommittee to help analyze and plan for energy efficiency across our buildings. We are looking for parishioners who have a background in energy analysis and are willing to donate time to assist the parish in putting together an Energy Plan and helping to execute that plan.

If you have an interest in being part of this committee, please call Director of Administrative Services Leif Nygaard at 262-377-1070 Ext.339 or send an e-mail.
