Arise and go down to the potter’s house; there you will hear my word. – Jeremiah 18: 2
This summer there will be an opportunity to go to the “potters workshop” and spend some time creating pottery, as well as building community. We’ll also spend some time reflecting on the images of God as potter in the books of Isaiah, Jeremiah and Sirach.
Three dates have been set aside – all are Thursdays: June 22, July 20 and Aug. 17 from 6:30-8 p.m. at Lake Country Fine Arts in Hartland. This is NOT a paint your own pottery. Participants will have the opportunity to sit at the potter’s wheel and learn how to make pots/bowls.
The cost is $30 per person and includes glazing and firing. Create your own pottery with guided reflection/prayer as you move from one step to the next. Anyone over the age of 12 can do this. No experience is necessary. But, space is limited!! So, please RSVP sooner rather than later.
