After a special 11:30 a.m. Mass at the historic South Church, more than 150 persons processed on a one-mile prayerful journey from the church to Cedar Creek Park. After prayers, the procession returned to the South Church. The Eucharistic Procession was led by Fr. Patrick Burns, Fr. John Burns and Fr. Timothy Schumaker. Parish Mission October 2-3, 2019As part of our 175th anniversary celebration, St. Francis Borgia hosted a well-attended parish mission called “Life to the Full: The Transformation of Suffering into Glory.” It was held the evenings of Wednesday, Oct. 2 and Thursday, Oct.3 at the North Church. The focus of this two-night mission was to explore what it means to be human, God’s incredible plan for our humanity, and how Jesus comes into our lives to heal us and free us from all that keeps us hiding in sin, shame, and sorrow. The speakers were Father John Burns and Sister Miriam James Heidland, SOLT. Clergy & Leadership Appreciation Banquet 2019 Feb. 18, 2019On February 18, 2019, over 100 parishioners attended the 2019 Knights of Columbus Clergy & Leadership Appreciation Banquet at The Hub on Cedar Creek to honor Brenda Cline, the priests, and the deacons (and their wives) of St. Francis Borgia and St. Joseph parishes. Guests enjoyed a lively gathering, with a buffet meal and an inspirational presentation by the Stars & Stripes Honor Flight.
