Photos of Parish Life Ash Wednesday 2023 St. Francis Borgia Parish celebrated Ash Wednesday on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. Ash Wednesday marks the first day of the season of Lent. During the Mass, ashes are placed on each individual's forehead in the shape of a cross to represent repentance for sin. Corpus Christi Eucharistic Procession 2021 June 6, 2021Sunday, June 6, was the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ – Corpus Christi. After a special 11:30 a.m. Mass at the historic South Church, more than 150 persons processed on a one-mile prayerful journey from the church to Cedar Creek Park. After prayers, the procession returned to the South Church. The Eucharistic Procession was led by Fr. Patrick Burns, Fr. John Burns and Fr. Timothy Schumaker. Eucharistic processions date back to the thirteenth century. The celebration included a complimentary continental breakfast and gallery exhibits prepared by grade level, telling the history of St. Francis Borgia Parish through our students’ eyes. Students worked on these exhibits throughout the 2018-2019 school year.
