Palm Sunday 2023

Palm Sunday was celebrated on Sunday, April 2, marking the start of Holy Week. Parishioners had the option to take part in an optional gospel procession at the 10 a.m. Mass that took place on the North Church Plaza and returning into the North Church for Mass.

Blessing of Pets 2021

The annual blessing of pets took place Sunday afternoon, Oct. 3, on the plaza at the North Church. This event helped us celebrate the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals. Fr. Patrick Burns provided the blessing; he was assisted by seminarian Kevin Tanel.

Seminarian Sendoff Dinner 2021

On Monday, May 10, the San Salvador Council Knights of Columbus hosted a Seminarian Send-off Dinner at the South Church for Deacons Michael Malucha and Tim Schumaker. Both will be ordained to the priesthood on Saturday, May 15. The Council “adopted” Michael and Tim several years ago, providing scholarships and moral support during their seminary formation. Both men have ties to our parish: St. Francis Borgia was Michael’s “teaching parish” the past few years; Tim is a member of our parish’s San Salvador Council KCs, and his parents attend Mass here.
