Parish 175th Anniversary Mass with the Archbishop October 6, 2019On Sunday, Oct. 6, Archbishop Jerome Listecki joined us at the 10 a.m. Mass at the North Church to help us celebrate the 175th Anniversary of St. Francis Borgia Parish. Other honored guests were Fr. John Burns (speaker at our parish mission nights and brother of Fr. Patrick); former pastors Fr. Ed Wawrzyniakowski and Fr. Tom Eichenberger; and Fr. Paul Ssebitoogo, pastor of our twin parish in Uganda. Other visitors from Uganda, along with seminary intern Kevin Tanel, were also in attendance. The archbishop presided at the Mass, with Fr. Patrick, Fr. John, Fr. Tom and Fr. Paul concelebrating. Palm Sunday 2019 April 14, 2019April 14 was Palm Sunday, the beginning of Holy Week. The photos in this gallery were taken at the 10 a.m. Mass, which started outdoors at the entrance to our Marian Shrine, with the reading of the Gospel about Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. From there—palms in hand—parishioners processed into church for the blessing of the palms and Mass, including a reading of the Passion. Visit to Uganda 2017 August 3 – 13, 2017In August 2017, a team of nine parish “pilgrims” departed for a visit to our sister parish, St. Paul the Apostle Parish, in Mukono, Uganda. Their plan included visiting many families, along with schools and other sites. Among the stops was St. Francis Borgia High School, built with the generous donations of our parishioners and named in our honor. Enrollment had reached 600 students, which was up 200 children from two years prior. Photos in this gallery illustrate various aspects of St. Paul Parish in Mukono that were experienced on this visit to Uganda. View more photos from previous years
