Photos of Parish Life All Souls Day Mass 2023 Holy Thursday and Good Friday 2022 The Easter Triduum was celebrated at the North Church on Holy Saturday, April 16. Mass began at dusk with lighting of the Easter Candle on the plaza of the North Church followed by a procession into Church to celebrate the rising of our Lord Jesus Christ. A beautiful welcome celebration was held for those being baptized, receiving their First Communion, Confirmation and being welcomed into the Church. The celebration included a complimentary continental breakfast and gallery exhibits prepared by grade level, telling the history of St. Francis Borgia Parish through our students’ eyes. Students worked on these exhibits throughout the 2018-2019 school year. This event celebrated 175 years and the children’s hard work. Good Friday-Easter Vigil-Easter Sunday 2018 March 30-April 1, 2018 These photos provide images from the Good Friday service on March 30, the Easter Vigil on March 31 and an Easter Sunday Mass on April 1. The service on Good Friday afternoon celebrated Jesus’ saving death on the wood of the cross. This included the Passion narrative from St. John’s Gospel and veneration of the cross -- with the congregation coming forward to genuflect, touch or kiss the cross. On Holy Saturday evening, the blessing of the Easter fire and the lighting of the Easter candle marked the beginning of the Easter Vigil. During the services of Light, Word, Water and Eucharist we welcomed new members to our faith community. The Easter Vigil and the Easter Sunday Masses brought back many joyous alleluias to celebrate that Jesus Christ is risen!
