May 31, 2013On Friday, May 31, 2013 the St. Francis Borgia Women's Guild sponsored a tour of significant Milwaukee churches for interested parishioners. Our bus was full for the tour, including several men! The time passed all too quickly as we visited St. Francis of Assisi, St. Benedict the Moor (St. Ben's), and Old St. Mary's in downtown, Milwaukee.The tour was fascinating, with excellent guides at each parish. Since we are one of the supporting parishes for the outreach programs at St. Ben's, that tour was of particular interest. Each church reflects very different missions, and the history of those parishes. Hopefully, the photos reflect the beauty of each of the toured churches. We felt very welcome at each of the stops, and look forward to possible future tours.
