Photos of Parish Life Food Blessing and Easter Vigil 2023 Blessing of the FoodAll were invited to bring any food and ingredients that were used in Easter meal preparation on Sat., April 8 at 12 p.m. on the North Church Plaza. It is tradition to bring the Easter food to Church in order to give thanksgiving to God for the food and for the fellowship that we are about to share.Easter VigilEaster Vigil began at 8 p.m. at the North Church with the lighting of the Easter candle on the North Church Plaza. Afterwards parishioners processed into the Church with their lights candles to celebrate Jesus rising from the dead. 12 people were welcomed into the Church that night. Following Mass, a reception was held in the North Church to celebrate the new members into the Catholic Faith. Fr. Eds Requiem Mass The Mass of Chrsitian Burial for Fr. Ed. Wawrzyniakowski was held on August 11 at the North Church. Fr. Ed passed away at the age of 92 and was St. Francis Borgia's 27th pastor serving "27 years and 4 months", our longest serving pastor on August 2, 2022. Archbishop Listecki presided with about 150 in attendance, followed by a burial at St. Francis Borgia cemetery. Blessing of Pets 2021 October 3, 2021The annual blessing of pets took place Sunday afternoon, Oct. 3, on the plaza at the North Church. This event helped us celebrate the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals. Fr. Shane Johnson celebrates Mass on Divine Mercy Sunday Good Friday 2021 "Encountering God as Men" Series 2020 Eucharistic Procession Eucharistic Miracles Exhibit Clergy and Leadership Appreciation Banquet 2020 Visit to Uganda 2017 August 3 – 13, 2017In August 2017, a team of nine parish “pilgrims” departed for a visit to our sister parish, St. Paul the Apostle Parish, in Mukono, Uganda. Their plan included visiting many families, along with schools and other sites. Among the stops was St. Francis Borgia High School, built with the generous donations of our parishioners and named in our honor. Enrollment had reached 600 students, which was up 200 children from two years prior.
