Photos of Parish Life Food Blessing and Easter Vigil 2023 Blessing of the FoodAll were invited to bring any food and ingredients that were used in Easter meal preparation on Sat., April 8 at 12 p.m. on the North Church Plaza. It is tradition to bring the Easter food to Church in order to give thanksgiving to God for the food and for the fellowship that we are about to share.Easter VigilEaster Vigil began at 8 p.m. at the North Church with the lighting of the Easter candle on the North Church Plaza. Afterwards parishioners processed into the Church with their lights candles to celebrate Jesus rising from the dead. 12 people were welcomed into the Church that night. Following Mass, a reception was held in the North Church to celebrate the new members into the Catholic Faith. Corpus Christi Procession 2022 Corpus Christi Mass was held on Sunday, June 19 at the South Church with the Eucharistic Procession following Mass. The Knights of Columbus generously held a cookout in the South Church parking lot following for all in attendance. Seminarian Sendoff Dinner 2021 May 10, 2021On Monday, May 10, the San Salvador Council Knights of Columbus hosted a Seminarian Send-off Dinner at the South Church for Deacons Michael Malucha and Tim Schumaker. Both will be ordained to the priesthood on Saturday, May 15. The Council “adopted” Michael and Tim several years ago, providing scholarships and moral support during their seminary formation. Both men have ties to our parish: St. Francis Borgia was Michael’s “teaching parish” the past few years; Tim is a member of our parish’s San Salvador Council KCs, and his parents attend Mass here. 2021 All Saints Day Party 2021 Blessing of Pets 2021 International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Fatima visits our parish Fr. As in past years, the First Communions were celebrated at multiple Masses, with some children at Masses on April 22-23, and some on the weekend of April 29-30.
