We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the 11 Boy Scouts who are receiving their Ad Altare Dei (to the altar of God) medals at the 10 a.m. Mass this weekend. These young men have worked long and hard to acquire this honor.
The purpose of the program is to help Catholic youth of the Roman Rite develop a fully Christian way of life in the faith community. The program is organized in chapters based on the seven sacraments as the primary means toward their spiritual growth.
The most important aspect of the program is that the Scout grows in his spiritual experience of his relationship to God and the church.
