St. Francis Borgia seeks a responsible, energetic individual with a positive attitude and excellent work ethic to serve as a part-time custodian. This position requires an individual who is reliable, self-motivated, reports to work on time when scheduled and is able to work independently. The primary objective of the position is to perform all custodial duties to keep facilities clean and orderly and to provide parishioners and community members with a safe, attractive, comfortable, and clean environment to worship. Saturday and Sunday hours required to support parish events.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean North and South church using proper methods and equipment
- Ability to work weekends with flexibility
- Collect and dispose of all waste in proper containers
- Move/deliver supplies
- Setup and/or teardown of events (weddings, funerals, receptions)
- Remove snow and grounds duties as assigned
- Responsible for setup and take down of events
- Provide building security (lock and unlock as assigned)
- Submit work orders for equipment and facilities needing repair outside your capabilities
- Perform such other duties as assigned Buildings and Grounds Supervisor

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Professional working attitude.
- Collaborative approach with staff and volunteers
- Ability to work occasional weekends
- Ability to learn through on the job training.
- Ability to take direction and work with minimum supervision.
- Self-motivated
- Attentive to details.
- Able to meet the requirements of Safe Environment Certification, including a federal and state background check
Position Status:
This position is part-time, hourly, non-exempt. The average hours will be 20 hours/week, working 4 to 5 days a week. The hours will be primarily daytime, but some weekend work will be required.
