Dear Parish Family – Thank You from Fr. Tom

I cannot tell you how full my heart is with happiness and gratitude after my farewell celebrations last weekend!! Thank you a million times over.

The Friday dinner was attended by 199 people. The glasses were full; the laughter was loud; the program was short; and the applause was almost thunderous. Even Archbishop Listecki made an appearance by video. It was thrilling, and one of the top moments of my life. A wonderful video montage of my years. Thank you to Tyler Weber and the Pastoral Council for hosting this event which I will never forget. I am so grateful.

The Sunday afternoon reception in our new gym was also just great. Tons of food and fellowship. Extra thanks to our pastoral staff who did all the work of serving and cleaning. They gave up their Sunday afternoon on Father’s Day to “serve and not to be served.” Most especially thank you to Fr. Patrick, and staff members – both present and past – Darryl (and Mary Beth), Teri, Julie, Lana, Karen, Katie, Kristen, Tom, Laurel, Maria and Michele. I will miss you guys the most.

And thank you to Tom Ingrassia Photography for the stunning picture cards and portrait of me. It’s hard to make me look good, but I think he did.

Let’s keep in touch. I love those family photo Christmas cards. I have seen so many of your children grow up, and I will be interested in their future. Photo cards and my new business cards (with new phone and new e-mail) are available in the parish office and at the Information Station in the gathering space.

BTW, I am not a “Very Reverend” any more. I lost that title since I am not the Dean of Oz-Mil Deanery any more.

All my love and prayers,
Fr. Tom Eichenberger
