According to recent reports from the Center for Disease Control, seasonal influenza activity has increased sharply in the United States. Wisconsin is among the states reporting widespread influenza.
To help reduce the spread of germs in our parish community, please don’t be offended if someone doesn’t want to shake your hand during the sign of peace. He/she may not be feeling well and doesn’t want to pass germs on to you.
To be equally kind, if you think you’re coming down with something – please don’t shake the hands of those around you. A kindly offered smile is a perfect sign of peace!
And if you’re ill, please stay home!
