On Saturday, Aug. 18, everyone is invited to a morning devoted to making sense of health information and learning more about the resources that are available in Ozaukee and Washington counties.
The fair will take place from 9 a.m. until noon on Aug. 18 at Grace Lutheran Church, 715 6th Avenue in Grafton. It is open to the public. There is no fee and preregistration isn’t required. There will be special activities for children available.
Information sessions begin at 9:30 a.m. and run for about 30 minutes each. Topics to be covered include: getting the most out of your doctor visit, managing medications, the effects of sugar on mind and body, diabetes prevention and risk assessment, brain health and memory, and salt and blood pressure. Additionally, there will be blood pressure screening, immunization checklists and information on nutrition and meal planning.
