From dilapidated slums to brick or stucco houses, there is a great contrast in living conditions for the people of St. Paul Parish. Poorer homes have only open air or fabric doors and windows. Those fortunate to have more financial resources can afford sturdier homes. The streets are always bustling with activity, and businesses of all kinds show the determination of the people to provide services and make a living – no matter how small their space.
