Visit to Uganda 2013 – Planting Trees

June 18-July 2, 2013

Whenever pilgrims from Cedarburg have visited our sister parish in Uganda, it has been customary for each of them to plant a tree. Here we see a tree planted four years ago, during the 2009 visit to Uganda. The Men’s Guild now has a eucalyptus tree project, and all of our 2013 pilgrims planted a tree. Eucalyptus trees are fast-growing and harvesting provides revenue for the needs of the parish. Over 1,500 trees have been planted. The Men’s Guild also plants other types of trees and grasses.
