Consider joining a pilgrimage to the Czech Republic, Austria and Germany led by Bishop James T. Schuerman. It will be held from Sept. 26 – Oct. 6, 2022. Experience Prague, Melk Abbey, Vienna, Mariazell, Salzburg and Altötting. Here’s the invitation from Bishop Schuerman:
While every pilgrimage brings the opportunity for its share of graces, traveling the road together makes such journeys even more enjoyable. We will begin our tour in Prague, where we will explore the Castle District and Old Town with a special visit to the Church of Our Lady Victorious to venerate the miraculous statue of the Infant Jesus of Prague. We’ll visit the majestic Melk Abbey before continuing to tour Vienna, the music capital of the world!
As we travel on to the Baroque city of Salzburg, we will stop to visit Heiligenkreuz Abbey and the Shrine of Our Lady of Mariazell, stopping for prayer and reflection in the Chapel of Miracles. Our pilgrimage continues to the Abbey of St. Florian, where we’ll view the famous Bruckner Organ and visit his grave in the abbey crypt. We’ll continue in the footsteps of Pope Benedict XVI to celebrate Mass in Bavaria’s most important pilgrimage destinations: Marktl am Inn, Altötting, Freising, and Wieskirche. We’ll complete our journey at King Ludwig’s majestic Neuschwanstein Castle and enjoy a farewell dinner in Bavaria, sampling the local specialties. I hope you’ll join us for an unforgettable pilgrimage experience!
