Do you or a family member struggle with an addiction? Are you wondering where to turn for help and advice? Do you need prayer support from others who understand?
The SAM Core Team at St. Francis Borgia welcomes Dr. Jim Giese who will address all these issues on Thursday, Nov. 8 from 7-8 p.m. in the church hall.
He will start the evening with a short presentation on “co-dependency,” enabling and other family dynamics in addiction, including what family members can do to help a loved one who is struggling with an addiction.
After Dr. Jim’s talk, he will open it up for discussion and any questions you may have. Additionally, all are welcome to join the SAM Prayer Support Group before Dr. Jim’s presentation. They meet in the church from 6:15-6:45 p.m.
Dr. Jim Giese has been in private practice for 17 years as a Licensed Psychologist. He is the current Clinic Director and Owner of Affiliated Clinical Services in West Bend and supervises the drug and alcohol programming at ACS.
