Have you or a loved one ever been seriously ill? It can be a scary time. Yet, it is in the midst of fear and suffering that Jesus’ followers are called to bring compassion and healing.
In the Letter of St. James, 5:13-20, the author talks about how Christians are called to care for those who are sick by “praying over them and anointing them with oil.” NRSV
Join us on July 12 from 7-8 p.m. in the North Church Hall to discuss the benefits of prayer and the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick as we gather together to share the great treasure of our faith and hope. In closing we will pray with and for those touched by addiction. All are welcome to attend.
You are also invited to come early, 6:15-6:45 p.m., to pray for those affected and/or afflicted by substance addiction.
