Have you ever wondered why we read from the Old Testament during Mass? Is the Old Testament still relevant to us today? These questions and many more will be answered and explored in a six-week series that takes a panoramic view of the Old Testament.
This series will not only look at each individual book of the Old Testament and what role they each play, we’ll also explore different images of God that we find in the Old Testament. Dr. Richard Lux, Professor Emeritus of the Sacred Heart School of Theology, will be a special presenter during part of this series.
This series takes place at SFB on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 – 8 p.m. in the library of the Education & Activity Center from Sept. 27 through Nov. 1. The same material will be presented at another session on Thursday mornings from 10-11:30 a.m. in the church hall from Sept. 29 through Nov. 3.
There is an optional book for the series, “Panorama of the Old Testament.” The same book will be used for a study session during the Advent season. A book can be ordered at the time of registration. The first book order will be placed on Monday, Sept. 19.
Registration is available on the Adult Formation page under Classes, or contact Tracy at 262-377-1070, ext. 250 or send an email.
